Full BIW closure sign off

Role:
Provision of drive in facility (hot, cold and humidity), data measurement system with velocity / load control for pneumatic slam and closure rigs.
Activities:
Provide interface for internal and external latch operation with normal and abuse slams. Comprehensive rig operation to provide a composite profile exercising (in climatic conditions), front / rear doors , boot and bonnet systems.
Achievements:
Set up and test to conclusion in under 8 weeks. BIW mechanical modifications, during test, to keep project running (down time of only 2 days).

Multi axis suspension rigs

Role:
Replicate vehicle 8 channel drive configuration using RPC.
Activities:
Dynamic characterisation, simulation of vehicle inertia. Data acquisition + fatigue editing, with provision of on line monitoring for displacement and acceleration.
Achievements:
FE model and track data correlated to rig system. Daily video and live data recording system to ensure central European customer was able to make real time and informed assessments.

DVP process; FMEA, DVP preparation, test co-ordination and delivery

Role:
Interface with OEM and Tier 1 / 2 suppliers to ensure DV and PV program phases completed
Activities:
Prior learning, preparation of DVPs, occupant usage profiling, ride measurements, supplier audit and test sequencing.
Achievements:
Clear definition of all test parameters and requirements. Early identification of system weaknesses from FMEA driven tests with timely and iterative resolution activities. DV and PV phases delivered on time and on budget.

Euro IV program delivery

Role:
To ensure revised engine / exhaust system is durable, matched from NVH perspective and meets European type approval requirements.
Activities:
Benchmark in SAC Dyno Euro III and Euro IV engine signature. Data acquisition to determine on vehicle acceleration data at mounting points. Test cell durability with engine profile control combined with vibration durability. Vehicle pass by measurements.
Achievements:
Fully signed off system including type approval in 6 month time frame.
